About
Louise Linea is a danish Copenhagen-based contemporary painter working between figuration and abstraction. She is educated at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts School of Design (KADK), where she developed a strong foundation in visual structure and creative process that shows up in her painting practice.
Her work is defined by a deliberate and concentrated use of color, alongside simplified figuration. Figures emerge within fields of color, often partially obscured, shifting the focus from narrative toward atmosphere and presence. Color functions as a structural element, shaping form and spatial tension rather than describing reality.
The work invites slow looking, allowing the viewer to remain with the image rather than resolve it.
